MINNESOTA LEGO LANDMARKS

About the Artist

Jeff's 15 minutes of fame came in 2017 when pictures of his LEGO model of Nye's Polonaise went viral on Facebook.

Jeff has lived in South Minneapolis for over 20 years and grew up in the area.  As a child, Jeff spent hours playing with LEGO blocks but eventually forgot about them.  It wasn't until around 2015 that he began to work on LEGO models again, this time with his daughter, Sloane.  Their projects started small and gradually grew in complexity.  While Sloane eventually lost interest in LEGO, her dad continued building LEGO models.

Jeff chose iconic Minneapolis bars as the subjects for his models, as many people appreciated this theme.  He started with the Nye's model because it was his local watering hole in the late 1990s and 2000s.  Although none of his subsequent models have achieved the same level of popularity as the first, he continues to create new ones every few years.  His subject matter has also expanded to include Minnesota Landmarks, such as the Split Rock Lighthouse.  The future of his projects remains uncertain, and nobody knows where they will lead.
